The debut album from Brooklyn based MC River Nelson finally drops!
Despite the retro vinyl album cover, the music on ‘The Rise And Fall of’ conjures up the sounds and smells of the early 1990’s, as River Nelson brings forth a frothing CD cram packed with irregular grainy beats and Chuck-D-esque rapping.
Produced by iconic UK producer Lewis Parker, River Nelson sets a framework of no nonsense Hiphop, unconcerned with bling and Bentleys, leftfield beats combine with Rivers distinctive flow providing a quality album for the winter, with nods to the glory days of Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, and the Indie spirit of late 90′s Rawkus releases.
