Atlanta musician Khari Cabral Simmonds has fused Soul, Jazz and Bossa to create an uplifting and commercial treatment of Stevie Wonder‘s “Never In The Sun”. Formally the lead singer of Jive he has worked with a range of musicians including Incognito, newcomer Chantae Cann, rising Brazilian vocalist Sabrina Malheiros, Avery Sunshine producer Dana Johnson and India Arie here on this track. The album is released February 27th on Dome Records.

Out of Atlanta GA, Groovproject is lead by drummer, music director, Donovan M. Henderson and backed by a list of talented musicians and vocalist. Previously, Groov has produced and released three independent jazz albums. His debut “Soul Jazzations” released 2006, his sophomore project, “The Life, The Loss, The Love” 2007, and “Electric Vibes” 2009. As well as current lead vocalist with 2x Grammy Award Winning group Arrested Development, Tasha is also vocal coach and super talented singer/songwriter with an amazing voice.
Her Previous work includes background vocalist for artists like Tracy Hamlin, The Hudson on Bass Band, Tiffany Deonna Martin, Gina Darby, and Rhonda Thomas plus sharing the stage with a wide range of Jazz greats like George Benson, Al Jarreau, George Duke, and Norman Brown to Hip Hop’s T-Pain, Young Joc, Fat Joe! Others include Canton Jones, Vickie Winans, Tremaine Hawkins, Maysa (Incognito), Joey Summerville, William Green, Ryan Kilgore, Ken Ford, Eric Roberson, PJ Morton, Algebra Blessett, and the list goes on and on…!!!
