Those nice people over at Japans Sweet Soul Records have now set an official date of January 25th 2012 for the release of their “Soul Over The Race” Vol.2 compilation with a pre-order option available now. Similar to their previous work, VOL.2, takes on some familiar classics featuring young Japanese artists covering the likes of Jackson Sisters and Sister Sledge amongst others, as well as Tom Browne’s “Funkin’ For Jamaica” road tested here on last weeks Meltdown show. New single coming soon from the good folk at RPM. Deborah Bond’s “You Are The One” is taken from her stunning “Madam Palindrome” album and has just been given the Reel People treatment upping the tempo stightly and a new lease of life (not that there was anything wrong with the original) but im liking this mix too! The single will be getting a re-release November 15th on their RPM label which will include this remix.
